Lage

The municipality of Llucmajor is the largest in area of the Balearic Mediterranean island. The town is located about 15 minutes southeast of Palma Airport at the foot of the mountain Puig de Randa. ,

Llucmajor is a tranquil country town with narrow streets and a weekly market on three days: Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The renovated fish market hall houses some departments of the local government, including the tourist office. The market square in front of the town hall was completed in 2010 and is a car-free zone. The fruit and vegetable market is held here. The square is now increasingly chosen by cyclists as a destination, especially since the plain around Llucmajor has a well-developed network of bike paths. The flea market is held every Friday on the Esplanade Jaume III and runs through half the town from the Town Hall (Ayuntamiento) in the Plaça d'Espanya through the Carrer del Bisbe Taixequet and the Paseo Jaime III to the Ronda de Migjorn, the southern thoroughfare of the town.
